A military helicopter has crashed in the mountainous Kaeng Krachen National Park in Thailand killing all 5 occupants who were Thai military officers.

The helicopter, carrying four pilots and one mechanic lost contact with the military base while it was flying to retrieve about 35 soldiers stranded in the Petch River area. Bad weather was reported at the time of the crash and heavy rain and poor visibility is hampering efforts to reach the crash site.
