Ash grounds flights in Perth Western Australia

The cloud of ash from the Chilean volcano is set to cause further disruptions to Australian airspace today with the volcanic plume affecting parts of Western Australia, including the state capital, Perth.
Virgin Australia announced that it will suspend all flights to and from Perth from 1:00pm local time. Qantas indicated that it is assessing the situation and will make a decision on its Perth services later this morning.
Qantas and Jetstar services affected previously in Melbourne and Adelaide have resumed but services in and out of New Zealand and Tasmania are still grounded pending a decision later this morning.
